Jaruco, Mayabeque. Jaruco keeps the infant mortality rate at zero until May, according to the Head of the Department of Statistics of the Integral Teaching Polyclinic Noelio Capote, Yaquelín Becerra.

From January to May, 107 births occurred, one less than in the same stage of the previous year, with a low weight ratio of two point eight, thanks to the work carried out by medical and health personnel in the municipality.

The favorable results of Jaruco in the Mother-Child program respond to the consecration of a multidisciplinary team of Primary Health Care that watches over the care of pregnant women in the Doctor’s Offices and the Maternity Home.

Added to this is the quality and stability of the technical services and the consultation of Medical Genetics, which are offered to pregnant women at the Noelio Capote Comprehensive Teaching Polyclinic.
