Jaruco, Mayabeque. The African Giant Snail (CGA) and the effects that it causes to human health, is the theme that will focus the municipal workshop on the control of this species that will be held in Jaruco on Monday, July 29 at nine in the morning, in the theater of the Board of Directors in this city.
The Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Eliseo Almeida, at the proposal of the Directorate of Agriculture, said that the line of prevention and monitoring of this invasive species is resumed, whose presence has been reported by some farmers and villagers on farms and yards.
The specialist says that the training activity will serve to expose again the measures to confront the CGA and show updated statistics of the populations of that animal in the province of Mayabeque.
In the Jaruco municipality, various sectors are linked to the control of the CGA, including Public Health, Education, Civil Defense and the Territorial Station for the Territorial Protection of Plants.
