Jaruco, Mayabeque. The social workers of Jaruco visit house to house since the beginning of 2019 to reevaluate the socioeconomic conditions of the 8216 families of the territory.
Yordanis Llanos Brito, Chief of the Municipal Social Work Unit stated that until the end of April the study covered almost 8,000 nuclei of the four Popular Councils.
This study is very important because apart from evaluating the material context of life in the homes, it will yield statistics related to the demographic dynamics in one of the oldest municipalities in the country.
The fourteen social workers in charge of the task identify critical cases in the economic and health field, while verifying the situation of children, the elderly and other vulnerable groups.
All this diagnosis will favor the prevention work of all social actors and a more efficient action by the Government in the application of State policies that seek to improve the quality of life where it is most necessary.
